Springhurst Elementary School Reviews

Dobbs Ferry offers the best balance of diversity and good education that I have seen in all of Westchester. There are some schools that are better, but the neighborhoods have absolutely no diversity. In my opinion, it is just as important for my child to see the world as it really is with all it's diversity. The education my child has received is leaps and bounds ahead of the nearby district we moved out of. So, with above average education and decent diversity, Dobbs Ferry (Springhurst) is highly recommended.

Springhurst is full of families involved in their children's education and qualified teachers; who in many cases, go above and beyond their duties for their students. Springhurst is an ideal school for grade-school aged children, and I cannot say enough good things about it. Our family is glad to have children in this school for the past seven years, and we look forward to the next six years when our youngest graduates this wonderful elementary school.

My daughter is in 4th grade. She has had great teachers. The school has incorporated a wide range of culture in the studies. For example the learned about Nigera and the school had professional dancers come in and teach the children African dancing and drumming. The kids also made crafts and musical instruments similar to those found in Nigera. They then set up a market place for the kids to sell the goods to one another. It was a great experiance that my daughter loved. The school offers a broad range of activities such as music, computers, choir, & PE. They also offer afterschool programs the kids can join such as dance, ceramics, and cooking just to name a few. I highly recommend Springhurst to any parent. The education is of the highest quality and so are the teachers.

I am very pleased with the education my daughter is receiving at Springhurst. It's the reason we moved to Dobbs Ferry - for it's school system.

In comparison to primary schools fo other regions, there's little homework in SPRINGHURST. As ESL student, we want more detailed and systematic education of English in addition to the homeworks.
