Woodlands Senior High School Reviews

Easily the worst high school in Westchester County; the teachers are disinterested, the adminisration is absent and the School Board is politicized. The district needs a take over by the State like the Roosevelt district on Long Island.

Students learn in spit of the absentee teachers and low performing administrators. Unbelieveable how the BoE puts up with this mess. Time to elect a new BoE and do another 'clean sweep' since it's evident that poor choices in administrators were made last time.

Students are in charge of the building because teachers are lethargic and principal is absent (hiding in his office)

Poorly functioning principal. Teachers are lazy and show lack of interest. Students are frustrated. No accountability - someone in central administration or on the BoE needs to take action.

Poor administration, too many poor teachers, lack of interest, no accountable, who is minding the store? High salaries, poor performance!

I feel my child has gotton a good education from this High School

Woodlands was once a wonderful, competitive & educationally sound HS. Now, because of the current Central Administration and Board, the fact that the Board has created a second HS in such a small district, the HS is in the last throws of life. Only a miracle -- a new Supt and new Board of Ed -- can save it. No parent involvement worth mentioning.

Be aware this is a school that cant keep administration longer than 3 years on average. Discipline for students is extremely low, administration is poor.
