“Well I went to I.S.174 and when I was there the teachers really helped me with everything I need. They never avoid the students in there class. They help the students as possible they can. But the students or your child will not feel as if they dont care about them. This school is the most excellent intermediate school in the Bronx. I just graduated from this school and already I miss the best school I ever went to. I love you I.S.174... Thanks for everything.”

“I started 174 in the 6th grade and graduated in 2004. Now I am graduating high school in upstate new york and i have yet to find teachers that have impacted me in the way that teachers in 174 did. That school taught me life lessons that i will take with me for the rest of my life.”

“I.S. 174 is one of the best schools in the Bronx, if not the best. This school definitely addresses the whole child. They offer a variety of after school programs which entices the kids to want to come to school each and every day. This is evident in the attendance rate. The school is now divided into smaller schools, where the students choose the school they want to attend based on the theme theior interested. This school has such strong programs, that my daughter attends even though she lives in another district. I wouldn't have it any other way. The school is a loving nurting family. The teachers and the administrators really care about their students and this is evident when you look at how much time they spend together. You would think they would get tired of each other, but they've got nothing but love for each other.”
