Young Women's Leadership School Reviews

I am one of the Students from The Young Womens Leadership School Of ASTORIA. If the bronx school is not of your needs be sure to come to my school. Ms. Laura Mitchel is one of the best principles in the world. When I was in the 7th grade we went to a place called manice and we stayed there for three days. She came with us for the whole time and she participated. All the teachers in my school are up to par on there studies and before we do anything the teachers make sure that we are all up to the same understanding of everything, and if you need help on something the teachers are always there to help. My school is also very safe to all students. Right now we only go up to the 8th grade.

I must agree with the parents below, this is the worst school for young girls. The school still has trailors, and their teachers are not up to par with their own studies. The girls in the school are too busy looking at boys from stevenson h.S. And some of the teachers allow them to converse between classes. I too agreewith the parent below who said every girl in the step class went to summer school. My child was one of those girls. I hope that with this academic year, she will learn and not have a problem next year in high school

This school does not promote the integrity and sisterhood that was so highly praised in the schools brochure. The girls here are'nt really learning like they should. The majority of the whole 8th grade stepping up class had to go to summerschool in order to continue on to highschool. I blame a large percentage of this on the teachers, most of them are too young or just don't care and want a paycheck! I won't say it's the worst school my daughter could attend but its no far from it.

this is the worst school my daughter was there for two years and i had to remove her they don't have a building for the students if you want your daughters to learn this is not the school for them

I think this is one of the best school in the Bronx...
