Ossining New York Hotels
Milwaukee, WI - Briarcliff and Ossining, N.Y., have teamed up to collect virtual window serenades from local musicians and share them with residents of both cities for the Make Music Winter.
Make Music in Chequamegon Bay, hosted by the Michigan Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation and the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor. The community-led event, which is open to the public, will take place on Saturday, January 20, from 1-4 p.m. at Bayfront Park in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
On the Sparta waterfront, the district is covered by a historic overlay district, which is defined elsewhere in the zoning. The 37 buildings and structures within the district are predominantly residential buildings, but also a mixture of commercial, office, retail and residential buildings.
The Renaissance style was used in the architecture of the 19th century, and the buildings 191 and 192 193 Main was Neo - Grec detailing with metal cladding. The new brick commercial buildings were on the corner of Main Street and Main Avenue, just south of New York City Hall. The building 187 Main was built in 1905 and features wide brick lintels, cornices and a brick facade with masonry on all sides.
Croton Avenue experienced some development during this period, and the new building moved back to Highland Avenue in the early 20th century, lending the district its important public buildings. The county also was preparing to preserve the thoroughfare it was responsible for clearing, the Bronx River Parkway, which stretched from the north-bound junction of Sprain Brook Parkway to Kensico Dam Plaza in Valhalla.

In Putnam, County Supervisor MaryEllen Odell called on residents to prepare for reasonable preparations and said emergency services will be manned and ready to respond. If homeowners lose power, they should call the local utility to inform them of the power outage, officials said.
The plan also recommends improving access to the New York hotels of Ossining, where visitors could enter the village without compounding the parking problems. Athens and Catskill could see construction sites, demolitions and debris washed into the Hudson, while the Rensselaer plant could be at risk of toxic residues and leachate.
The building on the corner of Highland and Emwilton was designed by James Gamble Rogers, the architect of the New York Hotel, and 239 of its buildings were demolished by the beginning of the next decade. The new high school was the product of a local financier who had helped fund a Methodist church. A fire broke out in the building, which severely damaged the church and several other buildings in Ossining, as well as the nearby Town Hall.
The Manor, which stretched across the Croton River, was recognized in 1989 as one of the 10 most important buildings in New York City. It was first listed as a New York monument in 1988, along with the Empire State Building.
It was built in 1875 and is the only one in the district to have columns supported by tall pedestals on a block. Located at the intersection of North and Highland Avenue, this is one of only three bank buildings still used for this purpose. It is a historic district that has contributed so much to New York's development that it was not eligible to be included on the register individually. There are only two other buildings in this district with more than one floor, and only one three-story bank building still uses its original columns for this purpose, the Bank of America Building. It is located at an intersection with North Highland Ave. . there is only one Art Deco building from the 1930s in these districts.

Recidivism has been ebbing in all major US states since the 1990s, with New Yorkers accounting for about 42%. If inmates earn a college degree while in prison, that number drops to 4 percent, according to the Justice Department. Violent incidents have also fallen in prisons, which now house less than half of the prisoners who were once held.
