The Delaware Aqueduct Bypass Tunnel is one of the most important water infrastructure projects in New York City. Completed in 1945, the low-pressure tunnel taps into the Delaware watershed and is designed to provide New Yorkers in the Bronx, Queens, and other parts of the city's eastern and western suburbs with 850 million gallons of water a day. After excavations for the Wilmington Tunnel were completed by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) in May 2015 to repair a leak in a longer tunnel, the New York Racing Association canceled its annual New Year's Eve event at Hudson River Raceway in Manhattan on May 16, 2016.

Much of the aqueduct is now a public park (NYC Park), whose land was purchased by the Friends of the Old Aquademic Canal of Croton Aqued (Map 5) for $5. Built in 1890 and buried under the Hudson River, the New Crotons Aqueuct (or three aquesucts) is a popular spot for water sports. But as New York's population continued to boom, some of these aquaplaning facilities became obsolete over the years, and many of them were shut down in the 1950s and 1960s. The New Croton Aqua tunnels are at the end of their lives, but they have become obsolete in recent years as New Yorkers and the city as a whole use them more and more frequently. As a result, they have been decomposed and are now decomposing.

The completed map of the Friends of the Old Croton Aquademia Canal can be purchased here, and there are plans for a new map of the aqueducts and aquaplaning facilities of New Crotons. Once they are complete, friends could begin publishing a full-color map that contains detailed information about each map.

This information applies to the entire Old Croton Aqueduct, which extends from NewCroton Dam in Westchester County to Bryant Park in Manhattan.

This is not just a map, but an actual map of the Old Croton Aqueduct, which ends in Hillview, Yonkers, New York and ends at Bryant Park in Manhattan. The aqueduct was built in the 1920s after the fire epidemic that devastated New Yorkers and Westchester County, in part because of the water shortage in the Hudson River and its reservoirs. Water was taken from the city's elevated tanks and taken to meet the city's water needs and its wastewater treatment plants. After running out of water, they built the world's first public water supply system, the NewCroton Water Treatment Plant, in the 1930s, and in 1930, the culmination of nearly 70 years of water production.

Rockaway Blvd., Jamaica, NY 11420) shows the terminal storage that once occupied the site of what is now the NY Public Library. It features the NewCroton water treatment plant and the Old Croton aqueduct, as well as a number of other historic buildings.

The walk follows the Old Croton Aqueduct, built in the late 19th and early 20th centuries to provide water to New York City. The Crotons Aquinguct itself was part of a large, complex water distribution system that was built for New Yorkers between 1837 and 1842.

The Catskill Aqueduct, built between 1910 and 1927, stretched from New York City to the Hudson River in the Catskills, New Jersey, Connecticut and Pennsylvania. The Old Croton Aquinguct supplied water for the city's water supply, as well as electricity, sewage and sewage treatment.
